This is a spring time favourite of mine. Hogweed terriaki with the fresh battered shoots. Do you recognise this plant? This is Common Hogweed a foragers favourite!! It is a beautiful and extremily giving plant. Growing along hedgerows and in woods from spring through to summer. It is one of the most versatile and accessible wild edible plants to forage in the UK. In woods where spirits live on forever For a long time I have been fascinated by the disapearance of the Elm tree in the British country side. Some of you will have lived through the 60s and 70s and will recall this great tragedy. What is food to you?
